Skoda Octavia RS Second Batch Launched At Rs 56.69 Lakh - Sold Out

Czech carmaker Skoda has launched the second batch of the Octavia RS in India at Rs 56.69 lakh (ex-showroom), a premium of Rs 6.70 lakh over the first batch's Rs 49.99 lakh price tag. Only 50 units of the performance sedan will be available this time.

The first batch of the Skoda Octavia RS was limited to 100 units and sold out in India even before its official launch last year. Deliveries of the second batch of the Skoda Octavia RS will begin next week.

Skoda Octavia RS: Price, Bookings And Colours

The Octavia RS continues to be brought into India as a completely built-up unit, a status that keeps its pricing well above Skoda's locally assembled models. The second batch of the Skoda Octavia RS is offered in three exterior colours: Mamba Green, Velvet Red and Magic Black.

Skoda had received close to 350 bookings for the model after the first batch sold out, and the brand is honouring these existing reservations before opening the order books to new customers. The Skoda Octavia RS has enjoyed a cult following in India; even the previous-generation Octavia RS 245, limited to 200 units when it launched in 2020, sold out within a little over a month.

Skoda Octavia RS: Powertrain & Performance

The Skoda Octavia RS is powered by the Volkswagen Group's EA888 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, which also powers the Golf GTI. It produces 265hp and 370Nm, and is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox that sends power to the front wheels. Skoda claims a 0-100km/h time of 6.4sec for the Octavia RS, while top speed is electronically limited to 250km/h.

The Skoda Octavia RS also gets progressive steering, sports suspension, an advanced chassis setup and a sports exhaust system as standard. The performance sedan comes equipped with 10 airbags, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and a 360-degree camera as standard safety kit.
