Skoda Octavia RS Second Batch Bookings Open - Limited To 50 Units
Czech carmaker Skoda has opened bookings for a second batch of the Octavia RS in India, with just 50 units on offer this time around. Bookings begin today, and deliveries are scheduled to start in October.
Skoda sold out the entire first batch of 100 units of the Octavia RS last year, and this new allocation continues as a full import, keeping pricing steep for buyers. The first batch of the Skoda Octavia RS was launched at an ex-showroom price of Rs 49.99 lakh. Skoda had amassed close to 350 bookings for that run, and the brand will honour those existing orders before opening the books to new customers.

Skoda Octavia RS: Engine & Performance
The Skoda Octavia RS is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 265hp and 370Nm, paired with a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox sending power to the front wheels.

Skoda claims the Octavia RS will sprint from 0-100km/h in just 6.4 seconds and will continue to accelerate until it hits an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h. The same engine that powers the Octavia RS also does duty in the Volkswagen Golf GTI, whose second batch for India is expected to arrive in the near future.
Skoda Octavia RS: Design & Features

Exterior changes to the Skoda Octavia RS over the standard Octavia include a blacked-out grille, sportier bumpers and dual-tone 19-inch alloy wheels, along with dual exhaust outlets and a boot-lid spoiler. The liftback tailgate opens into a 600-litre boot, keeping the sedan practical despite its performance focus.
Inside, the cabin of the Skoda Octavia RS gets an all-black theme with red highlights, a three-spoke steering wheel and a large touchscreen infotainment display. Safety equipment includes 10 airbags and a Level 2 ADAS suite with features such as lane keep assist.
Even the previous-generation Octavia RS 245, limited to 200 units, sold out within a little over a month of its 2020 launch, underlining how quickly Skoda's RS allocations have moved in India. The brand's other RS-badged model, the Kodiaq RS, has already sold out for the year.
