Skoda Octavia RS Could Be Back This Festive Season In India

Skoda Auto is preparing to bring back the Skoda Octavia RS to India later this year, with fresh allotments expected to arrive during the festive Diwali season. The previous batch of the performance sedan, launched in October 2025, was sold out within minutes due to overwhelming demand from enthusiasts.

Skoda Octavia RS Set For India Comeback

Skoda Auto considers India one of its most important global markets outside its home country. Many of their cars like the Kushaq, Slavia and the newly launched Kylaq are very popular in India. The Octavia RS is one of those cars which has always maintained a strong enthusiast following in India thanks to its combination of practicality, premium features, and performance-oriented driving dynamics.

The previous batch of the Skoda Octavia RS was brought to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and was introduced at an ex-showroom price of Rs 49.99 lakh. The entire allotment was booked out even before the official price announcement, showcasing the massive demand for performance-oriented sedans in the country.

Now, Skoda is expected to introduce a second batch of the Octavia RS during the upcoming festive season. The new allotment is likely to retain the same specifications, features, and performance package as the previous lot. However, prices may see a slight increase this time due to global economic conditions, rising import costs, and currency fluctuations affecting CBU models.

Engine and Performance

Powering the Skoda Octavia RS is a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 265 PS and 370 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The sedan sends power to the front wheels and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds, while the claimed top speed stands at 250 km/h. This powertrain setup is also shared with the Volkswagen Golf GTI, which is a performance focused hatchback car.

Design and Style

The Octavia RS is available globally in multiple colour options including Magic Black, Candy White, Velvet Red, Mamba Green, and Race Blue. The sporty exterior package includes a blacked-out grille, aggressive bumpers, LED headlamps, 19-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels, RS badging, lip spoiler, and sporty exhaust setup.

Features

Inside the cabin, the sedan gets an all-black sporty interior theme with contrasting red stitching. Feature highlights include a flat-bottom three-spoke steering wheel, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, 360-degree camera, 11-speaker Canton audio system, three-zone climate control, heated and powered front seats with massage function, and up to 10 airbags.

The Skoda Octavia RS already enjoys a strong enthusiast fan base globally as well as in India. With demand remaining high, the arrival of the second batch is expected to attract even more interest from Indian buyers, especially during the festive season.
