Skoda Kylaq Hits 50K Unit Production
The Kylaq has become the most popular car in the Skoda-VW lineup because of its quality, affordability, performance, and driving comfort. Most of the parts used in the Kylaq SUV are locally sourced, which brings the cost down and attracts more buyers. The brand has now increased its production capacity by up to 30% to meet the demand.

It is also one of the highly demanded SUVs in the Indian market. The Kylaq was launched back in 2024 as an affordable SUV based on the MQB-AO-IN platform. It was built similarly to the Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun.
Buyers saw this SUV as an alternative to the ever-popular Volkswagen Polo hatchback. It offers solid build quality, driver-focused dynamics, and best-in-class performance. Skoda recently updated the Kylaq with new variants, making the sunroof option more accessible.

The technology and offerings are also attractive with a single-pane sunroof, cruise control, ABS, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 8-inch driver display, wireless connectivity, automatic AC with rear AC vents, ventilated and powered front seats, 6 airbags, LED setup, 17-inch alloy wheels, and many Simply Clever features. It is also a 5-star rated car in the BCNAP crash test.
It is powered by a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine that produces 115 PS of power and 178 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. It is available in Classic, Classic Plus, Signature, Signature Plus, Prestige, and Prestige Plus trims.
The prices of the Skoda Kylaq start at ₹7.59 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-of-the-line variant is priced at ₹12.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It competes against models such as the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
