Skoda Makes Sunroof Affordable! Kylaq Classic + & Prestige + Variants Launched
Czech car brand Skoda has unveiled the Kushaq Facelift with updated design and technology features. Alongside this, the company has also introduced two new variants: Classic Plus and Prestige Plus for the Kylaq SUV. With these updates, the sunroof option in the Skoda Kylaq has now become more accessible and affordable.
Skoda Kylaq Classic Plus
The Kylaq Classic Plus variant will be sold between the entry-level Classic and the mid-level Signature trims. This new variant now comes with a single-pane sunroof, 16-inch steel wheels with wheel caps, rain-sensing wipers, steering-mounted audio controls, a 4-speaker sound system, auto-dimming IRVM, and cruise control.

The car is priced at ₹8.25 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a more value-for-money variant than the Classic trim. Customers can also opt for an automatic transmission, which is priced at ₹9.25 lakh (ex-showroom).
Skoda Kylaq Prestige Plus
This will be the new top-end variant of the Skoda Kylaq SUV. It features 6-way power-adjustable front seats with ventilation, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an electric sunroof, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, and cruise control.

The price for the manual variant starts at ₹11.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the automatic variant starts at ₹12.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Signature and Signature Plus variants have also been updated with paddle shifters and rear wiper and washer.
The Skoda Kylaq is powered by the same 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine, which produces 115 PS of power and 178 Nm of torque, and is mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. We are also expecting Skoda to bring the new 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission to the Kylaq in the coming months.
Prices for the Kylaq start at 7.59 Lakh (ex-showroom). It has achieved a huge success in the Indian market, crossing over 45,000 unit sales in 2025. The Kylaq is sold in the sub-4-metre SUV segment and rivals the Mahindra XUV 3XO, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and Tata Nexon.
