Skoda Kushaq Facelift Unveiled In India With Panoramic Sunroof, New Design & 8-Speed AT
Skoda has unveiled the Kushaq Facelift in India, bringing fresh updates to its exterior styling and interior experience. Alongside it, the Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition was also revealed, featuring sportier design elements and a blacked-out cabin. This is the first facelift for the Kushaq compact SUV in India since its launch in 2021.

Updated Exterior Design
The Skoda Kushaq facelift receives significant design changes at both the front and rear. Up front, the SUV now features a wider grille with chrome inserts, inspired by the Kylaq SUV. The newly designed connected LED DRLs are neatly integrated into the headlamp chamber, giving the front a more modern and premium look.
The bumper has been reworked with sportier styling and redesigned fog lamps that add to the muscular stance. While the side profile remains largely unchanged, the newly designed diamond-cut alloy wheels bring a fresh and more attractive visual appeal.
At the rear, Skoda has introduced connected LED tail-lamps with an illuminated Skoda logo at the centre. The sculpted rear design takes inspiration from premium Skoda cars and features a rugged aluminium-style skid plate along with a chrome garnish on the boot lid.
More Premium Interiors
Inside, the Kushaq facelift offers a more plush and airy cabin, finished in a new black-and-white themed leatherette upholstery. Known for excellent seat comfort, Skoda continues that tradition in the updated model, making it suitable for long drives.
The biggest highlight is the addition of a panoramic sunroof, a long-standing demand from Indian buyers. This feature significantly enhances the cabin's sense of space and premium appeal. A regular single-pane option is also available for the lower variants. While the dashboard layout remains largely unchanged, the car still relies heavily on touch-based controls, with physical buttons for key functions still missing.
Powertrain
Skoda retains the 1.0 TSI, which produces 85 kW of power and 178 Nm of torque, and the 1.5 TSI, which produces 110 kW of power and 250 Nm of torque. The smaller engine is paired with a 6-speed manual and a new first-in-segment 8-speed Torque Converter Automatic gearbox. The Bigger and more powerful 1.5 TSI is mated with a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
Technology and Offerings
The 25.6 cm infotainment system is retained but now gets a new UI interface and an AI companion powered by Google. The 26.03cm Digital cluster also gets a new interface and design layout. Key highlights include a new Skoda sound system, Dual colour ambient lighting, 6-way electronically adjustable front seats with ventilation, and rear seats with massage functionality.
Safety features
The Kushaq facelift now comes equipped with all-wheel disc brakes, six airbags as standard, over 40 active and passive safety features, front parking sensors, sequential rear turn indicators, rain-sensing wipers, and a rear defogger with rear wiper.
Overall, the facelifted Kushaq now looks more elegant and upmarket, blending a sporty character with premium design elements. Skoda also unveiled the 1.5L TSI Kushaq Facelift Monte Carlo Edition, which features sportier alloy wheels, red accents on the front grille, and a blacked-out interior for a more aggressive and dynamic appeal.
Other details
The Skoda Kushaq Facelift pricing is expected to be announced later. This compact SUV is the first Skoda model to be revealed this year, and the Slavia facelift is also expected to be unveiled soon.
Since the car has been updated with more features, the pricing is expected to be slightly premium. The current model is priced at 10.66 lakh (ex-showroom). This compact SUV takes on rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, and Tata Sierra.
