Skoda Kushaq Facelift: Big Design & Feature Changes Expected
Skoda Auto is set to launch the Skoda Kushaq Facelift in India, and the SUV is expected to receive several exterior and interior updates, making it look fresher and more modern. Here are our major launch expectations for the facelift model, all based on reports and recent teasers.
Skoda Kushaq Facelift Expectations
New Fascia
The front end is expected to feature a revised design with a new chrome treatment and grille. The bumpers are also likely to be redesigned, giving the SUV a bolder appearance similar to the Kylaq SUV. A recent teaser suggests that the Kushaq facelift will feature a connected LED light bar at the front.

Refreshed Tail Design and Alloys
Like the front, the rear end will most likely have a sleeker, connected tail design. The SUV is expected to feature connected LED tail lamps with an illuminated Skoda logo at the centre.
The test vehicle has been spotted with camouflage on both the front and rear ends, indicating noticeable design changes. The alloy wheels are expected to be blacked-out units matching the exterior colour options. However, the wheel sizes are likely to remain unchanged at 16 inches and 17 inches.

New Convenience Features
One of the most demanded features, a panoramic sunroof, is expected to be introduced with the facelift. It is likely to be offered on the top variants, while the mid variants may continue with the single-pane sunroof available on the current model. The rear seats are also speculated to receive massage functionality, while the front seats are expected to continue offering ventilated and powered functions.
New Upholstery
The interiors could receive a refreshed design with high-quality premium leather and fabric upholstery, along with improved fit and finish. The infotainment system is expected to be larger and may retain physical buttons for essential controls such as air conditioning, traction control, temperature adjustment, and volume.
Superior Safety
One of the most anticipated updates is the addition of a 360-degree camera system and Level 2 ADAS safety features. The Skoda Kushaq is a 5-star rated car at the Global NCAP crash test, and with these additions, it will better match its competitors in terms of features and safety offerings. Existing safety features, including ABS with EBD, traction control, and six airbags, will be retained.

Powertrains
The 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines are expected to be carried forward in the facelifted model. However, Skoda may introduce minor design or variant-level changes to better differentiate between the two powertrains. Both engines offer great performance and efficiency and are expected to be available with a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, and a 7-speed DSG transmission.
Price Expectations
Skoda has not updated the Kushaq since its launch in 2021, and the current model is priced from ₹10.75 lakh (ex-showroom). With the new design updates and feature additions, the Skoda Kushaq facelift is expected to start at a higher price of around ₹11.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The Skoda Slavia facelift is also expected to arrive soon, followed by its sibling models, the Volkswagen Taigun facelift and the Virtus facelift.
