Skoda Kushaq Facelift Base Variant Surprises with Sunroof, LEDs & Alloys
Skoda's new Kushaq Facelift features a refreshed design and upgraded cabin, starting from the base variant. With several premium features now offered at lower trims, the compact SUV delivers strong value for money. Here's a closer look at the key features and updates available in the Skoda Kushaq facelift base variant.
Skoda Kushaq Facelift Base Variant Features
1. Sunroof
Skoda has finally addressed a long-standing demand from Indian customers by introducing a panoramic sunroof setup for top variants. The biggest surprise is the inclusion of a sunroof in the base variant-something no one expected. With this move, Skoda has hit the sweet spot and demonstrated a much better understanding of Indian consumer preferences.

2. LED Setup and Alloys
Right from the base variant, the Kushaq facelift comes equipped with a full LED lighting setup. At the rear, it features distinctive connected LED tail lamps with an illuminated Skoda logo positioned at the centre.
This means buyers no longer need to spend extra for LED lighting, as the Kushaq facelift Classic Plus variant delivers excellent visibility with LED projector headlamps and premium sequential LED indicators. The base variant features 16-inch alloy wheels as standard. These alloys are offered across all variants and enhance the SUV's sporty and premium appeal.
3. Best Convenience Features
The Kushaq facelift base variant comes loaded with several best-in-class convenience features, including automatic climate control, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, an auto-dimming IRVM, and a rear wiper with defogger.

4. Best-in-Class Safety
In terms of safety, the Skoda Kushaq Facelift offers best-in-class features, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). The existing model has already secured a 5-star rating at Global NCAP, reinforcing Skoda's strong focus on safety.
5. First in Segment Automatic Transmission
The Kushaq also offers a first-in-segment 8-speed automatic transmission starting from the base variant. This new transmission promises smoother gear shifts, improved fuel efficiency, and a more refined driving experience in both city and highway conditions. It is also more cost-efficient compared to the older 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
