Skoda Kodiaq RS Bookings Open - Only 50 Units On Offer
Skoda has opened bookings for the Kodiaq RS in India at a token amount of Rs 3 lakh. The Czech carmaker will bring only 50 units of the performance SUV to the country, positioning it as the range-topper of its India lineup.
The Kodiaq RS slots in above the standard Kodiaq and arrives as a more track-focused offering, built around a turbocharged petrol engine, all-wheel drive and an adaptive suspension setup not seen on other Skoda models sold here.

Skoda Kodiaq RS: Powertrain & Performance
The Kodiaq RS uses the same 265hp 2.0-litre four-cylinder EA888 turbo-petrol engine found in the Octavia RS. However, it produces 400Nm of torque, a full 30Nm more than the Octavia RS manages.
Power continues to be sent through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, also shared with the Octavia RS. The Kodiaq RS gets 4WD as standard, which helps it post a quicker claimed 0-100kph time of 6.3 seconds despite its larger SUV body.
Top speed is rated at 231kph, lower than the Octavia RS' 250kph figure, a trade-off of the SUV's higher ride height and additional weight from the all-wheel-drive hardware.
Skoda Kodiaq RS: Dynamic Chassis Control Plus & Drive Modes
The Kodiaq RS comes equipped with Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) Plus, an adaptive suspension system that was notably absent from the India-spec Octavia RS. DCC Plus offers 15 levels of damping adjustment.
This system is integrated across the Kodiaq RS' seven drive modes: Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, Individual, Snow and Off-Road. Each mode alters the suspension behaviour alongside throttle response and steering weight.
Skoda Kodiaq RS: Expected Pricing
The regular Skoda Kodiaq is currently priced between Rs 36.99 lakh and Rs 46.99 lakh in India. Skoda has not yet revealed an official price for the Kodiaq RS, though it is expected to sit above the standard range-topping variant given its sportier specification and is expected to be in excess of Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom).
