Skoda Epiq EV SUV Top Highlights: 440 Km Range, Sustainable Interior, ADAS And V2L Charging

Škoda Auto has unveiled its smallest and most affordable electric car, the Škoda Epiq. The new EV is based on the advanced MEB+ platform, which is designed to balance interior space, practicality and modern electric vehicle engineering.

Electric cars are increasingly being viewed as practical alternatives to conventional petrol and diesel vehicles, and the Epiq could become Škoda's key product to capture the rapidly growing EV market. Here are the key details and highlights of the newly revealed Škoda Epiq EV.

Bold Exterior Design

The Škoda Epiq follows a modern and minimalistic design language while maintaining a bold SUV stance. It features sleek T-shaped LED daytime running lamps paired with advanced Škoda Matrix LED headlamps.

The SUV also gets rugged bumpers with large air inserts, a butterfly-style front grille, aerodynamic alloy wheels, a muscular bonnet, flat underbody panels, active cooling shutters and a rear spoiler, all designed to improve aerodynamic efficiency and overall driving range.

Simply Clever Safety Features

Škoda is well known for offering strong safety packages, and the Epiq comes equipped with several advanced safety and driver-assistance technologies. These technologies are expected to significantly enhance both passenger safety and long-distance driving convenience. Key highlights include seven airbags, a 360-degree camera system for improved parking visibility and ADAS features with Travel Assist 3.0.

Sustainable Interiors

The interiors of the Škoda Epiq are designed with sustainability in mind. The cabin materials are made using 100 percent recycled polyester, while higher variants receive premium synthetic leather upholstery.

The EV also features a large 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Additional highlights include built-in Google Maps navigation, YouTube and Spotify support, automatic climate control and several signature "Simply Clever" features from Škoda.

Superior Battery Range

The Škoda Epiq will be offered in three different variants. The Epiq 35 uses a 38.5 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 310 km. The Epiq 40 gets a more powerful electric motor while continuing with the same 38.5 kWh battery pack and identical claimed range. The larger Epiq 55 variant features a 55 kWh battery pack and delivers a significantly higher claimed driving range of up to 440 km on a single charge.

Maximum Practicality

The Epiq also supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) bi-directional charging, allowing users to power household appliances, electronic gadgets and other external devices directly from the car's battery. The spacious interior layout further enhances comfort and practicality for passengers.

The SUV measures approximately 4.17 metres in length, and its battery packaging has been optimized to maximize cabin and luggage space. It offers a generous 475-litre boot along with an additional 25 litres of front trunk storage.
