Skoda Begins Deliveries Of Sold-Out Kodiaq RS In Major Indian Cities

Skoda Auto India has begun deliveries of the limited-edition Kodiaq RS premium SUV in India. The Czech brand brought only 50 units of the Kodiaq RS to the Indian market via CBU (Completely Build Unit), and all of them were sold out in just six minutes.

Premium performance SUVs occupy only a niche segment in India. Skoda is one of the few brands that has successfully capitalised on this opportunity with its limited-edition RS variant. The Skoda Kodiaq is a premium luxury SUV, and the RS is its performance-focused version. The company brought this model to the Indian market in limited numbers, with only 50 units on offer.

Skoda Kodiaq RS Deliveries Begin In India

Even before the pricing announcement, the entire batch of the Skoda Kodiaq RS was sold out, reflecting the strong interest among Indian consumers in this premium performance-focused SUV. Now, the company has started the deliveries of this vehicle in major indian cities.

This sportier version gets a gloss black finish across the grille, bumpers, ORVMs, roofline, and rear bumper. It also gets Matrix LED headlamps, 20-inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers for a sportier appearance, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, adaptive cruise control, sporty seats, reclining second-row seats, TPMS, an all-black interior with red stitching and RS badging, nine airbags as standard, a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with integrated controls, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

The Kodiaq RS is available in Moon White, Velvet Red, Magic Black, and Steel Grey. It is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine tuned for performance, producing 261 bhp of power and 400 Nm of torque, which is 60 bhp and 80 Nm more than the standard Kodiaq. The powertrain is paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox, a 4x4 drivetrain, and Dynamic Chassis Control, which enables additional driving functions and capabilities.

The Skoda Kodiaq RS was priced at Rs 66.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and has already been sold out. The next batch of the Kodiaq RS is expected to arrive next year, and the company may increase the allocation after witnessing the overwhelming response to the model.
