Renault Kiger Gets More Value And More Fun With New Evolution Plus And Manual Turbo
Renault has updated its Renault Kiger lineup in India by introducing a new Evolution Plus trim. Alongside this, the brand has also added a manual gearbox option to the Techno Turbo variant, making it more appealing for enthusiasts.
Renault Kiger Gets New Evolution Plus Trim
The Renault Kiger sub-4-metre SUV now gets revised trims for both its naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol engine options. The newly introduced Evolution Plus trim is positioned between the existing Evolution and Techno variants. This new trim also offers both manual and AMT transmission options, making it a more value-for-money proposition in the mid-range segment.

Priced at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Evolution Plus variant comes equipped with features such as a 20.32 cm floating touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, smart access card with push-button start/stop, and wireless smartphone replication.
Techno Turbo Now Gets Manual Gearbox
Renault has also introduced a manual transmission option for the Techno Turbo variant, which is priced at Rs 8.45 lakh (ex-showroom). This gives buyers more flexibility and adds a sportier appeal to the turbocharged version.
Engine And Performance

The rest of the mechanical package remains unchanged. The Kiger continues to be powered by a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, both offered with manual and automatic transmission choices.
The turbo-petrol motor produces 100 PS and is paired with either a manual gearbox or an X-Tronic CVT, while the naturally aspirated version continues with manual and AMT options.

The Kiger offers 205 mm ground clearance, 405 litres of boot space, and 21 standard safety features, making it practical for both city and highway use. Feature highlights include Tri-Octa Pure Vision LED headlamps, fog lamps, diamond-cut alloy wheels, silver-finished skid plates, chunky bumpers, TFT instrument cluster, floating infotainment screen, rain-sensing wipers, ventilated seats, and rear AC vents.
For safety, it gets 6 airbags, cruise control, auto headlamps, ABS with EBD, ESP, traction control, hill start assist, pedestrian protection, and rear parking sensors. The Renault Kiger is priced from Rs 5.81 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top variant now goes up to Rs 8.45 lakh (ex-showroom).
