Made-In-India Renault Duster Goes Global As First Export Batch Heads To Africa
Renault has officially started exports of the all-new Renault Duster to international markets. The initial batch of 750 vehicles has departed from Chennai port, with South Africa becoming the first African market to receive the India-made SUVs.
This marks a significant milestone for Renault's manufacturing and export operations in India. The country continues to remain one of Renault's top three global markets for production, engineering, exports, and domestic sales.
India Strengthening Renault's Global Role

Renault Group India CEO Stephane Deblaise said "The start of exports of the all-new Duster is an important moment for Renault India and a strong validation of the quality, capabilities, and competitiveness of our operations in Chennai. It reflects the progress we have made in building India into an integral part of Renault's global industrial footprint."
He added "India possesses all the fundamentals required to emerge as a leading automotive export hub: world-class manufacturing capabilities, engineering talent, scale, and a rapidly evolving logistics ecosystem. As Renault continues to expand its international footprint, India will play an increasingly strategic role in our future plans. We remain committed to contributing to the country's manufacturing ambitions and are working towards our objective of generating €2 billion in annual exports from India by 2030."
Built On New Modular Platform

The all-new Duster is based on Renault Group's Modular Platform (RGMP), derived from the CMF-B platform already sold in Europe. This platform supports multiple powertrains including petrol, hybrid, electric, and even 4x4 configurations.
In India, the Duster is offered with three engine options - 1.0-litre turbo petrol, 1.3-litre turbo petrol, and the upcoming 1.8-litre strong hybrid powertrain, paired with both manual and automatic transmission options.
Features And Pricing
The new Duster also comes loaded with premium features such as LED headlamps, dual-screen layout, Google connectivity, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, Level 2 ADAS, and a 360-degree camera. The all-new Renault Duster is priced from Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
