The Renault Duster Adventure Edition was launched today Bastille Day (14th July) by Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to India, alongside Stephane Deblaise, CEO of Renault Group India. The new variant of the Duster celebrates the adventure-focused identity the Renault SUV has built up over the years in India.

The Duster Adventure Edition is offered across all three powertrain options of the Duster currently on sale in India. Prices for the Renault Duster Adventure Edition range from Rs 12.99 lakh to Rs 15.39 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Renault Duster Adventure Edition is based on the Techno variants of the French SUV. The only major changes to the Adventure Edition of the new Renault Duster comes in the form of cosmetic upgrades. The new Duster Adventure Edition undercuts the Techno trim level it is based on by Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000, depending on the chosen powertrain.

The big cosmetic change to the Adventure Edition over the regular Duster comes in the form of exclusive Adventure graphics depicting the topographical contour lines along with the geographical coordinates of Leh, - 34.27 N, 77.60 E. The same design is replicated on a plaque on the front doors and Renault has also added Adventure-themed embellishers and exclusive floor mats, to the special-edition SUV.
Equipment on the Duster Adventure Edition carries over from the corresponding Techno variants. The Renault Duster Adventure Edition gets full-LED headlamps, an electric panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate and dual-zone automatic climate control. It also comes with connected car technology via the My Renault app, a 10.1-inch openR Link touchscreen infotainment system and 17-inch Ocean alloy wheels.
Mechanically, the Duster Adventure Edition is unchanged from the versions of the SUV it is based with all three turbo-petrol powertrain options being carried over unchanged from the standard version of the SUV.
These include the Duster TCe 100 with a manual gearbox, and the TCe 160 with either a manual or a DCT automatic gearbox. The TCe 100 pushes out 99 bhp and 166 Nm from its 1.0-litre turbo-petrol powerplant, while the latter develops 161 bhp and 280 Nm from its turbocharged 1.3-litre petrol engine.
The Renault Duster competes against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara, MG Victoris and Tata Sierra in the midsize SUV segment.
