Renault Bridger Concept Reveal Tomorrow – What To Expect From The New Urban SUV For India
Renault is all set to unveil the Bridger Concept on March 10, 2026, introducing a new urban SUV concept aimed at the Indian market. This segment remains one of the most popular among buyers in the country, and the concept will form part of Renault's broader expansion strategy in India.
The French automaker is actively working to strengthen its presence in the Indian market. The brand has already showcased the upcoming Renault Duster for India, and now plans to reveal another sub-4-metre SUV concept that will rival models such as the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, and Mahindra XUV 3XO.

Renault Bridger Crossover Concept Expectations
A recent teaser has revealed the upcoming Renault Bridger Concept, which will make its global debut on March 10, 2026. The concept features an upright stance with a muscular body design, roof rails, and a boxy silhouette. One of its standout elements is the boot-lid-mounted spare wheel, similar to the design seen on the Mahindra Thar.
Appealing Crossover Design
The upcoming model is expected to be positioned as an urban crossover, somewhat similar in spirit to models like the Ford EcoSport and Fiat Avventura, and will likely be built on a monocoque chassis. Its design could become the key highlight, as the boot-mounted spare wheel styling is currently rare in this segment in India.

Once it enters production, the model is expected to be sold alongside the Renault Kiger, which is another sub-4-metre SUV from the brand. The teaser also highlights an illuminated Renault lettering at the front fascia, similar to the design language used on the new Duster.
Powertrain expectations
The production version of this SUV could debut in India around 2028. It is more likely to be powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing around 100 hp and 163 Nm of torque, paired with both manual and CVT automatic transmissions. There is also a possibility of Renault introducing a new 1.2L NA Petrol engine with this upcoming Model.

Renault is also strategically expanding its product lineup to target multiple segments in the Indian market. The Bridger could also be based on the R-GMP platform, which would likely be localised for India to keep pricing competitive.
There is also a possibility that the model could eventually be offered as an electric crossover once the concept evolves into a full production vehicle. We expect the Renault Bridger to be priced at around ₹10 lakh (ex-showroom), where it would compete with other sub-4-metre crossover SUVs in the Indian market.
Updated the article with a new 1.2L Powertrain option.
