Porsche Cayenne Electric Lands In India With Up To 857hp & 642km Range - Prices Start At Rs 1.77 Cr

Porsche has officially launched the Cayenne Electric in India, marking the SUV's first public showcase in the country. The Porsche Cayenne arrives as Porsche's third all-electric model on sale here, after the Taycan and the Macan Electric.

The Porsche Cayenne is offered in two variants, the Cayenne Electric and the range-topping Cayenne Turbo Electric, priced at Rs 1.77 crore and Rs 2.28 crore respectively, ex-showroom and before options. These prices were revealed last year and deliveries of the all-electric SUV have now started.

Porsche Cayenne Electric Powertrain & Performance

Underpinning the Porsche Cayenne is the Volkswagen Group's 800V Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture, paired with a 113kWh battery pack and dual motors driving all four wheels as standard. The base variant makes 408hp and 750Nm, rising to 442hp and 835Nm with Launch Control engaged. The Turbo produces 857hp and 1,360Nm, or 1,156hp and 1,500Nm on Launch Control.

Both variants support DC charging at up to 390kW, enough to take the battery from 10 to 80 percent in 16 minutes. A 10-minute top-up adds up to 324km of range. AC charging tops out at 22kW, with a full charge taking 5.75 hours.

Porsche Cayenne Electric: Design & Dimensions

The Cayenne Electric carries an evolution of the design language introduced on the smaller Macan Electric. Oblong Matrix LED headlamps house four individual daytime running lights each, while the front bumper gets a wide air dam flanked by vertical air intakes and discreet black cladding. A 90-litre frunk sits under the bonnet.

At 4,985mm long, 1,980mm wide and 1,674mm tall on a 3,023mm wheelbase, the SUV is 55mm longer than its ICE-powered sibling. 20-inch alloy wheels come as standard, with 22-inch units available as an option, and soft-close doors are fitted across the range.

A sporty raked roofline marks the rear, though less pronounced than on the coupe-bodied Cayenne Coupe Electric. A wraparound LED light bar with an illuminated Porsche wordmark spans the tailgate, complemented by a sizeable roof spoiler. Below sits a chunky bumper with a blacked-out section featuring horizontal slats and reflectors.

Porsche Cayenne Electric: Interior & features

Inside, the cabin comes finished in black as standard, extending to most of the controls. A 14.5-inch curved OLED touchscreen anchors the dashboard alongside a 14.25-inch OLED driver's display and a three-spoke steering wheel, while a 14.9-inch passenger screen is available as an option.

The centre console uses a pass-through design that frees up storage space and houses a wireless charging pad, sitting alongside a fairly tall central tunnel. Ambient lighting spans the footwells and door liners across 30 configurable colours.

Standard equipment includes a 10-speaker sound system, 8-way powered and heated front seats with driver's seat memory, a panoramic sunroof, four-zone climate control, a cabin air purifier, a powered boot lid, powered rear sunshades, a 360-degree camera and ADAS. Boot space stands at 781 litres.
