Nissan has launched its first-ever mid-size SUV in India since the discontinuation of the Kicks. The Tekton is based on the Renault Duster and is available in six different trims and two different engine options.
Engine and Transmission
The T160 comes with a 1.0L Petrol engine which produces 100 PS of power and 160 NM of torque paired with a 6 speed manual transmission. The T280 is powered by a 1.3L petrol engine which produces 163 PS of power and 280 Nm of torque, paired with a 6 speed manual and DCT automatic transmission.
Nissan Tekton SUV: Ranking Best Variants
The SUV offers several advanced features and technologies, which may make it confusing for buyers to choose the right trim. Here, we make it easier by ranking the best variants based on the value and features they offer.
1. N-Connecta - Rs 13.69 lakh (ex-showroom)

This is the mid-spec trim, which is available with both T160 and T280 engine configurations. It packs features like an electric panoramic sunroof, 18-inch alloy wheels, Matrix Vision C-shaped LED headlamps, dual-zone climate control, electronic parking brake, paddle shifters, cruise control, a 10.25-inch HD digital cockpit, ADAS, and driving modes.
Users who want high value and are more focused on getting all the essential features for daily usage can choose this variant. The N-Connecta is available with both manual and automatic transmission options for the larger T280 engine, while the standard T160 comes with a manual transmission.
2. Tekna Plus - 16.49 Lakh (ex-showroom)

The top-of-the-line Tekna Plus is the most feature-rich and advanced version offered by Nissan. To enjoy the Tekton to its fullest, we recommend users choose the Tekna Plus trim. This trim is available with the T160 engine paired with a manual gearbox and the T280 engine paired with a dual-clutch transmission.
Some of its additional features include an electric tailgate, 6-way electrically adjustable front seats, a 10.25-inch HD digital cockpit with Google Maps integration, an elevated centre console with an e-shifter, ADAS with 17 features, a 3D Intelligent Surround View Monitor, 55+ connected features, and luxurious tri-tone soft-touch interiors with Active Comfort quilted leatherette seats.
3. Acenta - 11.79 Lakh (ex-showroom)

For users with a medium budget, the Acenta trim makes sense as it is the base trim that offers the larger T280 petrol engine with a DCT transmission. It is also available with the base T160 engine paired with a manual transmission.
It features 17-inch steel wheels with dual-tone wheel covers, aerodynamic flush roof rails, a shark-fin antenna, cruise control, an electronic parking brake, paddle shifters with dual mode, a smart card key, push-button start, rear wiper and washer, rear defogger, a 10.1-inch HD infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted controls, a rear-view camera, rear disc brakes, and 60:40 split-folding rear seats.
4. Tekna - 15.39 Lakh (ex-showroom)

The Tekna trim is also a premium variant, but it is meant for buyers who do not want the top-spec Tekna Plus trim. It is available with the full range of T160 and T280 engine configurations. It gets ADAS with 15 safety features, rear disc brakes, hill descent control, 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers, 48-colour ambient lighting, a wireless charger with a cooling vent, dual driving modes, dual steering modes, and a smart air purifier.
5. Visia Plus - 11.14 Lakh (ex-showroom)
If the buyer is on a tight budget and wants to purchase the Nissan Tekton with decent features and usability, the Visia Plus is a good option. It is powered by the 1.0L turbo-petrol engine paired with a manual transmission.

It gets all the features of the base Visia trim while adding a 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted controls, and a rear-view camera with dynamic guidelines.
6. Visia - 10.49 Lakh (ex-showroom)
This is the least recommended trim of the Nissan Tekton. It comes only with the base T160 engine and is available with a 6-speed manual transmission. However, it still gets several advanced features as standard, including Matrix Vision LED headlamps, signature LED DRLs and LED taillamps, electric power steering, rear AC vents, a 7-inch driver assist display, a 4-speaker Arkamys sound system, six airbags, an illuminated glove box, ABS with EBD, 25+ connected features, and ESS.
