Nissan Tekton SUV Launched At ₹10.49 Lakh: Patrol-Inspired Design, Google-Powered Tech And ADAS
Nissan has launched the new Tekton SUV in India, which is inspired by the iconic Patrol SUV at a starting price of 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This SUV will be entirely manufactured in India and exported to markets across the Middle East, Africa, and Oceania.
Nissan Tekton SUV Launched in India
The Tekton is Nissan's first compact SUV for India since the discontinuation of the Nissan Kicks a few years ago. It draws from Nissan's 75 years of SUV expertise, combining high-value design with advanced technology and engineering. Here are the key things to know about the newly unveiled Nissan Tekton.
Patrol-Inspired Design

The Tekton takes its name from the tectonic plates beneath the Himalayan mountains. Its design closely resembles the Patrol SUV, featuring a tall and upright stance that enhances its muscular and commanding road presence.
At the front, the SUV features L-shaped DRLs connected by a light bar, along with a red accent running across the glossy black grille. The Nissan logo at the centre matches with the Tekton hood badging further enhancing the front fascia. The sleek bumper integrates two small LED fog lamps, contrasting silver skid plates, and rectangular air dams, adding to its rugged appeal.

Viewed from the side, the Tekton carries a robust boxy silhouette with newly designed 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, large black wheel arches, Patrol-inspired twin-carved door lines, chrome strips, blacked-out ORVMs and roof, adding to its premium appearance.
At the rear, C-shaped LED tail lamps are connected by a light bar with prominent Tekton badging. Matching silver skid plates complement the black bumper, giving the SUV a neatly finished rear profile. Measuring 4.3 metres in length with a class-leading ground clearance of 212 mm.
Excellent Cabin Comfort

Inside, the Tekton balances premiumness, space, and comfort to deliver an elevated experience for passengers. The cabin features an infinity panoramic sunroof, a modern dashboard, and a dual-tone black-and-white interior theme that gives it a bright and sophisticated feel.
The SUV also borrows the three-spoke steering wheel from the Duster, finished with piano black inserts for a high quality touch. Toggle switches for various controls and functions further boost the cabin's modern layout.
Convenience Features

The Tekton comes equipped with several convenience features, including dual-zone climate control, an air purifier, 6-way powered ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, rear AC vents, a powered tailgate, keyless entry with a push-button start/stop system, and centre console storage.
Additionally, it offers a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, a 6-speaker Arkamys sound system, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with custom layouts and navigation functionality.
Intelligent Google-Powered Connectivity
A highlight of the cabin is Nissan's Google-built, driver-centric dual-screen infotainment system. Without connecting a smartphone, users can access Google Maps, Gemini AI, Google Play, and Google Assistant. The system also supports more than 55 connected features through Nissan-specific applications and can receive over-the-air (OTA) software updates.
Upmarket Safety

The SUV comes equipped with 40 standard safety features, including six airbags, ESS, Electronic Stability Control, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, walk-away lock and unlock, and TPMS.
Additionally it offers Level 2 ADAS with practical features such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, Hill Descent Control, and Lane Keep Assist. Built on the CMF-B platform, the Tekton is also expected to achieve a 5-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests.
Highly Capable Powertrains

The Tekton will be offered with a 1.0-litre T160 turbo-petrol engine producing 100 PS of power and 166 Nm of torque. Paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, it claims a fuel efficiency of 19.4 km/l. Nissan says the engine and its tuning are significantly different from those of the Magnite SUV.
For buyers seeking more performance, the 1.3-litre T280 turbo-petrol engine develops 163 PS and 280 Nm of torque. It is available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed wet DCT automatic gearbox with paddle shifters, delivering a claimed fuel efficiency of 17.8 km/l (MT) and 18.5 km/l (DCT).
Variants and Trims

The Tekton will be offered with T160 and T280 powertrains across six variants, four interior themes, and 11 exterior colour options. Buyers can choose from shades such as Moonbow Grey, Onyx Black, Blade Silver, Pearl White, Flare Garnet Red, and Indigo Blue.
