Nissan Tekton C-SUV Reveal Set For This Date
Nissan has confirmed that its new Tekton C-SUV will be officially revealed in India on 4 February 2026, marking the global debut of the compact SUV that will sit above the Magnite and will mark the return of the Japanese marque to the C-SUV segment.
The Nissan Tekton is based on the Renault-Nissan CMF-B platform shared with the upcoming Renault Duster, combining modern SUV proportions with design elements that include a wide grille, connected LED lighting and a muscular bonnet, as previewed in official sketches and renders.
Official illustrations highlight the Nissan Tekton's unique styling with a horizontal LED light bar, slim headlamps, strong shoulder lines and squared-off wheel arches, underscoring an upright stance aimed at the highly contested compact SUV segment.
While Nissan has not fully disclosed powertrain details ahead of the reveal, the Tekton is expected to feature petrol engine options, including a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol unit, with manual and automatic transmission choices, and the possibility of a hybrid variant arriving later.
Interior details remain under wraps, but renderings and spy reports indicate a cabin that may feature a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver display, connected car technology and multiple drive modes to stay competitive in the segment.
Safety equipment for the Tekton is expected to include standard features such as multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control and possibly Level-2 ADAS, aligning the Tekton with contemporary expectations in the compact SUV category.
The Tekton reveal on 4 February precedes its expected market launch in mid-2026, with deliveries likely to begin soon after pricing and variant details are confirmed at the launch event. The new Nissan Tekton is expected to take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Victoris and Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate and Tata Curvv, as well as other compact SUVs that dominate the Indian car market.
