Nissan Motor India is set to launch the all-new Nissan Gravite MPV in India on February 17, 2026. Based on the Renault Triber's CMF-A+ platform, this compact MPV is expected to play a key role in strengthening Nissan's presence in the Indian market. Here's a closer look at what to expect from this upcoming sub-4-metre family MPV.
Nissan Gravite MPV Launch Expectations
Exterior Design
The Gravite is expected to retain a silhouette similar to the Triber, featuring a tall and upright stance with maximum cabin space. However, Nissan will likely introduce its own signature design elements, including a sculpted bonnet, redesigned bumper, and a distinctive grille with aluminium accents. We may also expect New alloy wheels, updated headlamps, and refreshed tail lamp designs.

Interior & Cabin
Inside, the Gravite is expected to offer a seven-seat, three-row layout with a dual-tone cabin theme. These additions should enhance both practicality and cabin quality. The highlights will include:
- Headrests for all three rows
- Touchscreen infotainment system
- Piano black interior accents
- Fully digital instrument cluster
Engine & Powertrain
Mechanically, the Gravite is expected to continue with the familiar 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine producing around 71 bhp and 96 Nm of torque. A CNG variant may also be introduced later, similar to the Triber, to improve fuel economy and appeal to cost-conscious buyers. Transmission options will likely include a 5-speed manual gearbox, AMT automatic transmission.

Convenience & Features
Some of the convenience features include wireless charging, Wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, Automatic climate control, Rear AC vents, Push-button start, and a reverse camera system. These additions could make the Gravite competitive within the compact MPV segment.
Pricing & Market Positioning
The Renault Triber currently starts at around ₹5.76 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Nissan Gravite is expected to be priced slightly premium, somewhere around ₹6 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned in the entry-level MPV segment, it will compete with models such as the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Renault Triber. The Gravite could attract buyers looking for an affordable, spacious family MPV with modern features. Nissan also plans to launch the Duster-based Tekton SUV next month.
