Powering the new Hyundai i20 is a 1.0-litre Turbo Kappa TGDi petrol engine producing 115 hp at 6,500 rpm and 171 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the India-spec version is also expected to get a 6-speed manual gearbox. The hatchback is expected to have a top speed of up to 184 km/h.

Hyundai Motor Company is offering segment-leading safety through Hyundai SmartSense, which includes full ADAS functionality. It also gets six airbags, ESP, vehicle stability management, hill-start assist, TPMS, and several other active safety features.

The K3 platform is built using high-strength steel, enhancing overall crash protection and structural strength. It is also compatible with hybrid and turbocharged powertrains, which could open doors for more advanced variants in the future.

Next-Gen Design

The fourth-generation Hyundai i20 is larger and more spacious than before. It features full-width LED DRLs, Horizon LED headlamps, connected rear light strips, a shark-fin antenna, and segment-first 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, giving it a much more premium and futuristic appearance.
