Updated Powertrain Options

The Tata Punch will be powered by the most familiar 1.2-litre naturally aspirated, three-cylinder petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Additionally, the new Punch is expected to get a more powerful turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. This new powertrain will enhance performance levels and deliver improved power compared to the regular naturally aspirated petrol engine.

The new Tata Punch facelift will be unveiled on January 13, 2026, and will compete with other micro-SUVs such as the Hyundai Exter, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, and Maruti Suzuki Ignis. The 2026 Tata Punch facelift is expected to be priced from 6 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-spec variant could be priced at around 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
