Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition Launched At ₹58.9 Lakh: Limited To 30 Units
British carmaker Mini has launched the Cooper S GP Inspired Edition in India at ₹58.9 lakh (ex-showroom). Capped at just 30 units for the Indian market, the Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition limited-run hatchback takes design inspiration from the brand's motorsport heritage, specifically the Mini GP lineage.
The Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition sits above the JCW Pack in the Mini Cooper S lineup. Pre-bookings opened earlier this month for ₹1.5 lakh, and deliveries for the limited-run hot hatchback have commenced.

Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition - Design & Features
The Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition is finished exclusively in Legend Grey, with Chilli Red applied to the roof and outside rearview mirrors for a strong visual contrast. Bonnet stripes, GP Inspired decals along the sides, and illuminated door sills round out the exterior graphic package.
The front end gets redesigned JCW-spec bumpers, grille, and headlights, along with front and side winglets. A red fabric tow hook adds a motorsport flourish, while the C-pillar carries an individual serial number badge reading '1 of 30'. The Cooper S GP Inspired Edition rides on 17-inch black alloy wheels, and a rear diffuser completes the performance-oriented body kit.
Inside, the cabin of the Cooper S GP Inspired Edition gets JCW sport seats with red accents on the headrests and a JCW-specific steering wheel. Standard equipment includes a circular 9.4-inch touchscreen, wireless charging, panoramic glass roof, powered driver seat, heads-up display, and Level 1 ADAS.
Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition - Powertrain
Mechanically, the Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition is unchanged from the standard Cooper S. The 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine produces 201bhp and 300Nm and is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Mini claims a 0-100 kmph sprint time of 6.6 seconds and a top speed of 242km/h.
