MG Windsor EV Commute Variant Launched At ₹13.49 Lakh – ₹60,000 Cheaper For Fleets
JSW MG Motor India has launched the fleet-exclusive Commute variant of the MG Windsor EV in India. This EV is priced at ₹13.49 lakh and is also available with a BaaS battery rental scheme. The standard base variant is priced at ₹14.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
MG Motor is one of the leading EV sellers in the country. The Windsor EV has become the best-selling electric car in 2025. It continues to attract consumers, especially due to its premium offerings, superior space, unique design, and comfort.
Fleet-Focused MG Windsor EV Commute Variant Introduced
Now, the brand has introduced a fleet-exclusive version of this EV called the Windsor EV Commute variant. This model is priced ₹60,000 lower than the standard Excite variant, making it a more affordable option for fleet and taxi operators. This variant is targeted only at fleet operators and misses out on some features from the standard base variant.
However, it still offers essential features such as LED lighting, 17-inch steel wheels, flush door handles, a 7-inch fully digital LCD cluster, one-touch power windows, multi-level reclining seats, split-folding rear seats, rear AC vents, cruise control, rear disc brakes, smart start system, hill descent control, and an indirect tyre pressure monitoring system.
Battery and Range
The Windsor EV Commute variant is powered by a 38 kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed range of 360 km. It produces 134 bhp of power and 200 Nm of torque, which is suitable for daily city commutes. Since it is aimed at commercial use, it also offers a larger 604-litre boot space to accommodate large luggage.

India's commercial taxi segment is already witnessing strong demand for electric vehicles due to their higher efficiency compared to traditional ICE-powered models. The MG Windsor EV is already a top-selling EV, and introducing a fleet-focused Commute variant is a strategic move by MG Motor India.
This update makes the vehicle more practical and better suited for fleet operations. With its crossover design, it offers ample space, usable range, and comfort-oriented features, all of which can help boost its appeal among fleet buyers and further strengthen MG's position in the growing EV market.
