JSW MG Motor India Sales Grow 19% in March – Windsor EV Drives Growth!

JSW MG Motor India has recorded total sales of 6,528 units in March 2026, marking a 19% year-on-year growth compared to March 2025. These figures include both ICE vehicles and new energy vehicles (EVs).

SAIC-owned MG Motor India operates in partnership with India's JSW Group. Together, they are witnessing strong sales momentum, especially in the EV segment, where the MG Windsor EV is gaining significant market share.

In March 2026, the brand recorded a 19% increase in total sales compared to the same period last year. The company sold 6,528 units last month, also marking the end of the financial year 2025-26 on a positive note.

Price Hike announced

Starting from April 1, 2026, MG Motor has announced a price hike of up to 2% across its lineup, citing rising input costs. This increase will apply to both ICE and EV models. Additionally, premium MG Select models, such as the Cyberster and MG M9, are expected to see a higher price increase of up to 7%.

In the ICE category, MG offers models like the MG Astor, MG Hector, and the newly introduced flagship SUV, the MG Majestor. With the Gloster discontinued, the Majestor will now serve as the brand's flagship ICE SUV. Its pricing is expected to be announced soon, and it is likely to compete with models like the Toyota Fortuner in the D+ segment.

MG also has a strong EV portfolio, including the MG Comet EV, a mini urban EV, the MG Windsor EV, a compact electric SUV, and the MG ZS EV, which serves as the brand's premium electric offering. Among these, the MG Windsor EV has emerged as the most popular model in the domestic market, contributing significantly to overall sales. It has become one of the top-selling EVs in India, competing with key rivals like Tata Motors and Mahindra.
