MG Unveils Couture Editions of M9, Cyberster With Designer Gaurav Gupta - Bookings Open

JSW MG Motor India has unveiled the Couture Editions of the M9 MPV and Cyberster electric roadster, developed in collaboration with fashion designer Gaurav Gupta. The MG M9 & Cyberster Couture Editions were revealed yesterday as part of the designer's Light Song Show in Mumbai.

Pre-reservations for both special editions are open now, with pricing to be announced on August 3. The Couture Editions will be produced in 50 units each and sold exclusively through MG Select, the luxury retail channel of JSW MG Motor India.

The Couture Edition versions of the MG M9 and MG Cyberster were revealed alongside Gupta's Light Song collection at the Jio World Convention Centre with the electric roadster's Couture Edition also being featured on the runway as part of the Light Song show.

Both the MG M9 and Cyberster Couture Editions carry design elements from Gupta's Serpent Infinity motif, applied through embroidery-style detailing, tonal layering and hand-finished trim. No mechanical or feature changes have been announced for either premium EV from MG.

The MG Select and Gaurav Gupta partnership began earlier this year at the opening of the designer's menswear flagship store in New Delhi, where an early take on the Cyberster was first shown. Light Song itself took nine months to develop, with more than 200 artisans working across 6,000 hours on over 70 couture looks.

MG M9 & Cyberster: Price & Powertrain Options

The standard MG M9 is priced at Rs 75.90 lakh, while the standard Cyberster costs Rs 77.50 lakh, both ex-showroom. The M9 uses a 245hp, 350Nm front-mounted electric motor paired with a 90kWh battery, giving it an ARAI-claimed range of 548km.

The Cyberster gets a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup producing 510hp and 725Nm, powered by a 77kWh battery with a claimed range of 580km on the MIDC cycle.
