MG Hector Tomahawk EV Launched At Rs 19.49 Lakh - BaaS Price Rs 13.99 Lakh
JSW MG Motor India has launched the Hector Tomahawk EV at Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom), with prices starting at Rs 13.99 lakh under the automaker's Battery-as-a-Service programme. The three-row electric SUV is offered with a 69.2kWh battery in five- and seven-seat configurations.
The Hector Tomahawk EV is the first MG model in India built on the brand's ADAPT architecture. It uses a 204hp motor, has a claimed MIDC range of 517km and supports DC fast charging with a 30-80 percent top-up in around 35 minutes.

MG Hector Tomahawk EV: Price & Variants
The MG Hector Tomahawk EV is offered in Excite, Exclusive and Essence trims. The Essence variant comes in five-seat form, while the Excite and Exclusive trims are offered with seven seats. The Hector Tomahawk EV starts at Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom), with the seven-seat Excite variant available at Rs 13.99 lakh under MG's Battery-as-a-Service programme.

The Hector Tomahawk EV will rival the Mahindra XEV 9S and the Kia Carens Clavis EV.

MG Hector Tomahawk EV: Exterior & Interior Highlights
The MG Hector Tomahawk EV gets LED projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights and an illuminated MG logo between them. The front bumper has a blacked-out lower fascia, and the Tomahawk EV rides on 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with roof rails, black wheel arch cladding and an automatic powered tailgate.
At the rear, the Hector Tomahawk EV gets wraparound LED tail-lamps and a sculpted bumper. The Hector Tomahawk EV measures 4,745mm in length, 1,850mm in width and 1,770mm in height, with a 2,810mm wheelbase and 230mm of ground clearance.
Inside, the MG Hector Tomahawk EV features a 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen, an 8.8-inch digital driver's display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging and gesture controls for functions like the air-conditioning and audio system. MG's i-SMART system offers over 80 connected features and more than 30 Hinglish voice commands.
Other equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, 256-colour ambient lighting, a 10-speaker Infinity sound system, rear window sunshades and a driver's seat with memory and auto-retract functions. The cabin also gets Nap, Camp, Energise, Pro Pet, Valet and Quiet modes.
Boot space on the five-seat version of the MG Hector Tomahawk EV stands at 610 litres, rising to 1,053 litres with the second row folded. The seven-seat version offers 192 litres with all three rows up and 528 litres with the third row folded.
MG Hector Tomahawk EV: Battery, Range and Charging
The MG Hector Tomahawk EV is powered by a 69.2kWh battery paired with a permanent-magnet synchronous motor that produces 150kW (204hp) and 310Nm. MG claims a 517km MIDC range and a 0-100km/h time of 8.2sec.
The Hector Tomahawk EV uses a CCS2 charging connector and supports DC fast charging at up to 90kW, with MG claiming a 30-80 percent charge in around 35 minutes. A 7.4kW AC charger takes about 12.5 hours for a 10-100 percent charge, and a portable charger for a 15A socket is also offered.
The MG Hector Tomahawk EV also supports vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-vehicle functions, allowing it to power external devices or charge another EV. MG claims it is India's first vehicle-to-home capable vehicle, letting the battery supply power to household appliances through two-way charging.
