Only 30 units of the 2026 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class are allocated in the first batch for India and its price is Rs 97 lakh above the regular S-Class Manufaktur Edition AMG Line launched a couple of months ago.

2026 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class: Powertrain & Charging
The Mercedes-Maybach S 580e swaps the outgoing model's 4.0-litre V8 for a 3.0-litre inline-six petrol engine rated at 443hp and 560Nm. A 160hp, 480Nm electric motor and a 22kWh battery complete the setup. Total system output is 585hp and 750Nm, sent to all four wheels as standard. Electric-only range is 98km, with a top speed of 140kph on battery power alone. WLTP-certified fuel efficiency is 34.48kpl.
Drive modes on the 2026 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class are Maybach, Electric and Battery Hold, and energy recuperation is adjustable, including one-pedal driving. Charging is through an 11kW AC on-board charger, with DC fast charging supported up to 60kW. Air suspension and rear-axle steering are standard. The 2026 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is Mercedes's third PHEV in India, after the updated S-Class and the AMG E 53 Hybrid.
2026 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class - Design & Features
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class carries the facelifted S-Class grille, which is 20 percent larger and framed by LED lighting, with an illuminated Mercedes star on the bonnet. Maybach's signature vertical slats fill the grille, and an illuminated 'Maybach' wordmark sits above them.
The new, larger headlamps use the latest version of Mercedes's Digital Light ambient lighting, along with three-pointed star DRLs. Rose gold embellishments with the Maybach logo replace the blue accents seen on the regular model.
The 2026 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is 180mm longer than the long-wheelbase S-Class. It rides on 20-inch forged wheels with a counterweighted Mercedes logo that stays upright as they turn. The D-pillar Maybach logo is illuminated, and the tail-lamps carry the triple three-pointed star LED signature.
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class cabin is offered in a four-seat layout, with executive rear seats and a full-length business console. The seats recline to 43 degrees, against 38 degrees in the regular S-Class, and are heated, ventilated and massaging.
Rear Comfort Package Plus is standard, adding fold-out tray tables, wireless charging pads, rear-compartment ambient lighting and temperature-controlled cup holders. Two individual smartphone-style remotes operate the rear functions in place of the earlier tablet controller.
Up front, the dashboard is largely unchanged from the regular S-Class. The MBUX Superscreen combines the central display with a passenger display that has a privacy function, while the driver gets a free-standing 3D display. All screens use a Maybach-specific graphical theme with rose gold accents.
Equipment includes an augmented reality head-up display and navigation, a 31-speaker Burmester 4D surround sound system, and two rear entertainment screens with wireless headsets. The upholstery is Maybach-exclusive Nappa in crystal white and silver grey pearl, with Manufaktur piano lacquer trim, a crystal white Nappa leather Manufaktur roof liner and Manufaktur seat backrest trim.
