Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad Pro Launched At Rs 3.80 Crore

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad Pro at Rs 3.80 crore, ex-showroom. The limited-run variant builds on the standard G 63 with dedicated off-road suspension hardware, unique drive modes and exterior changes aimed at serious all-terrain use.

The Offroad Pro retains the G 63's 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 but adds AMG Active Ride Control suspension, two dedicated terrain modes and a reworked off-road cockpit display.

Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad Pro: Engine and Performance

Power for the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad Pro comes from a 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, producing 585hp and 850Nm of torque. The mild-hybrid setup adds an auxiliary 20hp boost at low engine speeds, working through a nine-speed automatic gearbox and Mercedes-Benz's 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system tuned for the Offroad Pro's controls.

Mercedes-Benz claims a 0-100km/h time of 4.4 seconds for the G 63, with the top speed electronically limited to 240kmph. The Offroad Pro's AMG Active Ride Control suspension uses hydraulic roll stabilisation and adaptive damping tuned for rough terrain. It works alongside two dedicated all-terrain drive modes exclusive to this variant.

AMG Active Balance Control lets drivers adjust suspension roll stiffness across three stages, from low to high. AMG Traction Pro manages individual wheel braking torque through a seven-stage locking calibration to regain traction in deep sand or rock.

Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad Pro: Exterior & Interior

Exterior changes on the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad Pro include a roof rack accessible via a removable rear ladder and matte black 20-inch AMG five-twin-spoke alloy wheels. The Offroad Pro also gets flared wheel arches, a new AMG-specific front bumper and a more aggressive front fascia over the standard G 63.

Inside, a dedicated off-road cockpit display consolidates steering angle, altitude, tyre pressure and compass readouts along with differential lock status, supported by a transparent bonnet camera function that shows the terrain ahead of the front wheels.
