Mercedes-AMG A45 S Aero Track Edition Launched At ₹87 Lakh - Affalterbach's Maniac Gets Even More Crazy
Mercedes-Benz India has introduced the AMG A45 S Aero Track Edition 4MATIC+ at Rs 87 lakh (ex-showroom). The limited-volume special edition sits above the standard A45 S in India and is priced Rs 5.5 lakh less than the previous-generation A45 AMG, which retailed at Rs 92.50 lakh in 2023.
For performance car buyers in India, the Mercedes-AMG A45 S Aero Track Edition represents a more track-focused version of an already mental hot hatch, with visual and aerodynamic upgrades added over an unchanged mechanical package.
Mercedes-AMG A45 S Aero Track Edition: Aerodynamics and Styling
The centrepiece of the Mercedes-AMG A45 S Aero Track Edition is the AMG Aerodynamics Package, developed in a wind tunnel to improve high-speed stability and driving dynamics. The AMG Aerodynamics Package adds a pronounced front splitter, aero vanes on the front bumper, a fixed rear wing, and an aerodynamically optimised diffuser - all finished in gloss black. These elements are engineered to enhance downforce, reduce lift, and sharpen the handling of the already maniacal A45 S.
The optional AMG Night Package extends the gloss-black treatment further, covering the side skirts, ORVM housings, beltline and windowline trim, and the AMG exhaust pipes. Completing the exterior package are 19-inch AMG cross-spoke forged alloy wheels in a matte black finish and red-painted brake callipers. Buyers of the Mercedes-AMG A45 S Aero Track Edition can additionally opt for the Manufaktur Mountain Grey Magno paint finish at an extra cost of Rs 3 lakh.
Mercedes-AMG A45 S Aero Track Edition: Engine and Performance
There are no mechanical changes to the Mercedes-AMG A45 S Aero Track Edition over the standard A45 S. The A45 S Aero Track Edition is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 421 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and the brand's 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system.
The Mercedes-AMG A45 S Aero Track Edition sprints from 0 to 100km/h in a claimed 3.9 seconds. The hot hatch tops out at 270km/h.
