Maruti Suzuki Sales Report (December 2025) - Highest-Ever Calendar Year Numbers

Maruti Suzuki sales in December 2025 stood at 2,17,854 units, compared with 1,78,248 units in December 2024, translating into a year-on-year increase of 39,606 units, or 22.2 per cent, across domestic passenger vehicles, light commercial vehicles, OEM supplies and exports.

In the Mini segment, comprising the Alto and S-Presso, Maruti Suzuki sales rose to 14,225 units, up from 7,418 units a year earlier, reflecting an increase of 6,807 units, equivalent to 91.7 per cent, on a year-on-year basis.

The Compact segment, including Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift and WagonR, recorded 78,704 units in December 2025, compared with 54,906 units in December 2024, marking a growth of 23,798 units, or 43.3 per cent, year on year.

Combined sales of the Mini and Compact segments in the Maruti Suzuki portfolio reached 92,929 units, up from 62,324 units in the year-ago period, representing an increase of 30,605 units, or 49.1 per cent, year on year.

In the Mid-Size segment, represented solely by the discontinued Ciaz, Maruti Suzuki reported no wholesale dispatches in December 2025, compared with 464 units in December 2024, resulting in a decline of 464 units, or 100 per cent, year on year.

Total Passenger Car sales for Maruti Suzuki stood at 92,929 units in December 2025, compared with 62,788 units in December 2024, reflecting a year on year increase of 30,141 units, or 48.0 per cent, during the month.

Maruti Suzuki sales in the Utility Vehicle segment, - Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny and XL6 - rose to 73,818 units, from 55,651 units a year earlier, translating into an increase of 18,167 units, or 32.6 per cent.

In the Van segment, represented by the Eeco, Maruti Suzuki sales reached 11,899 units in December 2025, marginally higher than 11,678 units in December 2024, indicating a year on year rise of 221 units, or 1.9 per cent.

Total Domestic Passenger Vehicle sales for Maruti Suzuki climbed to 1,78,646 units, compared with 1,30,117 units a year earlier, registering an increase of 48,529 units, or 37.3 per cent, year on year.

Sales of Light Commercial Vehicles, led by the Super Carry, stood at 3,519 units in December 2025, up from 2,406 units in December 2024, reflecting a gain of 1,113 units, or 46.3 per cent.
Including passenger vehicles and LCVs, total domestic sales reached 1,82,165 units, compared with 1,32,523 units in the year-ago month, representing an increase of 49,642 units, or 37.5 per cent.

Sales to other OEMs rose to 9,950 units, from 8,306 units a year earlier, registering a growth of 1,644 units, or 19.8 per cent, compared to December 2024.

Maruti Suzuki's exports declined to 25,739 units in December 2025, compared with 37,419 units in December 2024, reflecting a decrease of 11,680 units, or 31.2 per cent, year on year.

Maruti Suzuki recorded total sales of 23,51,139 units in the calendar year 2025, marking its highest annual sales to date. Of this, 19,55,491 units were sold in the domestic market, while 3,95,648 units were exported, with both figures representing record highs for India's largest carmaker.
