Maruti Suzuki Sets All-Time Monthly Sales Record In May 2026 - 2.42 Lakh Units Sold

Maruti Suzuki has recorded its highest-ever monthly sales in May 2026, dispatching a total of 2,42,688 units during the month. Maruti Suzuki's sales saw a 34.8 per cent year-on-year increase from the 1,80,077 units sold across all channels in May 2025.

Maruti's domestic passenger vehicle sales reached 1,90,337 units in May 2026, marking a 40 percent jump over the 1,35,962 units sold in the same month last year. Including Super Carry LCV dispatches and OEM supplies, total domestic volumes came in at 2,00,774 units, up from 1,48,858 units in May 2025.

Utility Vehicles Lead The Charge

Maruti Suzuki's UV portfolio, covering Brezza, Ertiga, e Vitara, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, Victoris and XL6, posted 79,267 units in May 2026, up 44.4 percent from 54,899 units in May 2025. For the April-May FY2026-27 period, UV sales stood at 1,57,159 units against 1,13,921 units in the year-ago period.

Compact Segment Crosses 97,000 Units

Maruti Suzuki's compact car lineup, comprising of the Alto, S-Presso, Baleno, Celerio, Ciaz, Dzire, Ignis, Swift and WagonR, posted combined sales of 97,830 units in May 2026, up from the 68,736 units sold in May 2025. Maruti's mini cars, the Alto and S-Presso, together contributed 16,275 units versus just 6,776 units in the same month last year.

The Compact and Mid-Size segment accounted for 81,555 units in May 2026, compared to 61,960 units in May 2025. Eeco van sales stood at 13,240 units, while Super Carry LCV posted 3,198 units for the month.

Exports Rise 34%

Maruti shipped 41,914 units overseas in May 2026, a 34.3 per cent rise from the 31,219 units exported in the same month in 2025. Cumulative export volumes for April-May FY2026-27 reached 81,968 units, against the 59,130 units in the corresponding period of FY2025-26.

Total sales for April-May FY2026-27 stood at 4,82,334 units, compared to the 3,59,868 units in the same two-month window of the previous fiscal year. Domestic PV volumes for the period reached 3,78,041 units against the 2,74,666 units in FY2025-26.
