Maruti Suzuki eVitara Gets Its First Price Hike Since Launch; BaaS Variants Also Costlier

Maruti Suzuki has hiked the prices of the Maruti Suzuki eVitara by up to Rs 30,000 in India. This compact electric SUV is offered in both Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) and standard variants.

The eVitara, which is currently Maruti Suzuki's only electric vehicle in India, has received its first price hike since its launch in February 2026. Interestingly, the price increase also applies to the BaaS variants, making them more expensive than before.

Maruti Suzuki, India's largest car manufacturer, entered the electric vehicle segment this year with the eVitara, which offers a claimed maximum driving range of up to 543 km on a single charge.

Maruti Suzuki eVitara Price Hike

The eVitara is available in Delta, Zeta, and Alpha variants, with two battery pack options - 49 kWh and 61 kWh. To make the EV more accessible, Maruti Suzuki introduced BaaS variants, allowing buyers to reduce the upfront vehicle cost and pay separately for battery usage.

Now, the Zeta variant has received a price hike of up to Rs 30,000, while the top-end Alpha variant is now costlier by up to Rs 20,000. Rising input costs and inflation are said to be the main reasons behind this revision.

Safety features include seven airbags, Level 2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, TPMS, ESC, all-wheel disc brakes, and child occupant protection. So, the eViata is not only feature rich, but it also offers best in class safety features for the passengers.
