Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara India Launch Timeline Revealed
Maruti Suzuki is preparing to finally launch its first all-electric vehicle for the domestic market, with the e-Vitara positioned as the company's entry into the passenger EV space after years of hybrid-focused offerings and limited electrification efforts.
According to a report by CarWale, the e-Vitara is scheduled to make its India debut later this month, with showroom activity and customer engagement expected to begin soon after the official launch through the company's Nexa premium retail network.

The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara will be offered with two battery pack choices, comprising a 49 kWh unit and a larger 61 kWh pack, providing customers with different range and pricing combinations depending on variant positioning within the lineup.
Maximum certified driving range is reported at up to 543 km on a single charge for the larger battery pack variant of the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara, placing the electric SUV among the longer-range offerings in its segment and targeting both city commuting and extended inter-city travel use cases.
Variant structure for e-Vitara include three trims named Delta, Zeta and Alpha, with the smaller 49 kWh battery restricted to the entry Delta version, while the Zeta and Alpha grades will use the larger 61 kWh pack as standard equipment.
The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara will be retailed exclusively through the firm's Nexa dealership chain, which currently handles Maruti Suzuki's premium passenger vehicles, allowing the company to separate electric retail operations and provide dedicated sales and service infrastructure for the new powertrain technology.
Safety and technology equipment are expected to include advanced driver assistance systems along with connected car functions and a digital interface package, aligning the e-Vitara with segment expectations for driver aids, infotainment capability and everyday convenience features.
The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara is intended to compete directly with electric SUVs already on sale or scheduled for launch from domestic and international manufacturers. Rivals for the upcoming e-Vitara include Mahindra BE 6, Tata Curvv EV, MG Windsor EV, VinFast VF 6, and the Hyundai Creta Electric.
Pricing, detailed specifications and delivery schedules for the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara will be disclosed when India's largest carmaker finally brings its first-ever EVs into showrooms in the very near future and we expect Maruti to be aggressive in terms of pricing, as it looks to gain on its rivals who've already had their EVs on the road for a while now.
