Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift Launch Set For July 23 - What To Expect
India's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki has confirmed that the upcoming Brezza facelift will launc on the 23rd of July. This is the first major refresh of the second-generation Maruti Suzuki Brezza since its launch in 2022.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift: Powertrain Update
The biggest expected change to the Maruti Suzuki Brezza is the anticipated addition of a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, currently seen on the Fronz. An underbody CNG option and a cabin feature refresh are also expected.

The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol is expected to be the Fronx-sourced unit, producing 100 PS and 148 Nm of torque. Transmission options are a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. The existing 1.5-litre K15C Smart Hybrid petrol, rated at 103 PS and 139 Nm, is set to continue.
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza has long been the only compact SUV in the sub-4m segment without a turbo-petrol option, placing it at a competitive disadvantage against rivals that have offered such units for years. The addition of the 1.0-litre petrol engine brings the Maruti Brezza in line with the rest of the segment.
An underbody-mounted CNG tank, as seen on the Maruti Victoris, is expected for the facelifted Brezza's CNG variant. The current boot-mounted cylinder significantly limits luggage space. The underbody placement resolves this and is expected to make the CNG Brezza a more practical and commercially attractive proposition.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift - Exterior Refresh and Cabin Upgrades
Cosmetic updates for the Maruti Suzuki Brezza are expected to be measured. Revised bumpers, updated headlamp and tail-lamp clusters, and a new alloy wheel design have been seen on test mules. The LED tail-lamps may be linked by a segmented connecting bar across the tailgate, as seen on the Maruti Suzuki Victoris.
Inside the cabin of the Brezza, refreshed trim and new colour options are on the cards. Feature additions expected include a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a powered driver's seat, front ventilated seats, and ambient lighting. ADAS is not expected to be offered despite prior speculation, though front parking sensors are a possible inclusion.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Expected Pricing
The sub-1200cc turbo-petrol engine for the Maruti Suzuki Brezza will bring a key tax benefit to the sub-4-metre SUV. The Brezza's 1.5-litre engine currently attracts 40 percent GST despite its sub-4-metre length, as only petrol engines up to 1,200cc qualify for the lower 18 percent slab. The 1.0-litre unit would move the Brezza into that bracket.
Currently priced from Rs 8.26 lakh to Rs 12.86 lakh, the updated Maruti Suzuki Brezza is expected to command a modest premium over the outgoing model. The sub-1200cc engine option could also close the net cost gap between the Brezza and its turbo-equipped rivals.
The refreshed Brezza will continue to take on the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Skoda Kylaq, Kia Syros, and Toyota Taisor in a segment that is among the most competitive in the Indian market.
