2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift Could Finally Get Turbo Power

Maruti Suzuki Brezza is one of the best-selling sub-4-metre SUVs in India. The SUV is now expected to receive a facelift, which could bring more power and several new features, possibly borrowed from the Maruti Suzuki Fronx.

2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift Launching Soon?

For the past few months, multiple reports have suggested that Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch the facelifted version of the Brezza. There have also been several sightings of a camouflaged Maruti SUV testing across the country, hinting that the updated model could be nearing launch.

One of the biggest expected upgrades could be the addition of a turbo-petrol engine borrowed from the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. Despite being one of Maruti's strongest-selling SUVs, the Brezza currently misses out on turbocharged performance.

At present, the Brezza is powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated Advanced K-Series Dual VVT petrol engine that produces 100 PS of power and 139 Nm of torque. It delivers a claimed mileage of 19.89 km/l and is paired with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

With the addition of the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine from the Fronx, the output could rise to 100.06 PS and 147.6 Nm of torque. While the power increase may not be significant, the additional torque and stronger low-end response could make the SUV more enjoyable and quicker, especially during overtakes and highway driving.

The facelifted Brezza could also borrow design and styling cues from the premium Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. The CNG variant may also receive an underbody-mounted tank, helping free up more boot space.

Other Features

On the inside, buyers could see several feature upgrades, including a larger touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, head-up display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a 360-degree camera - many of which could be shared with the Grand Vitara.

The new Brezza is expected to launch soon and may carry a slightly higher price than the current model, which starts at Rs 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to rival the Mahindra XUV 3XO, Skoda Kylaq, Tata Punch, Hyundai Venue, and Kia Sonet.
