Mahindra XUV 7XO, XEV 9S Cross 93,000+ Bookings Worth ₹20,500 Crore

Mahindra has recorded 93,689 combined bookings for its newly launched XUV 7XO and XEV 9S, translating into a booking value of more than ₹20,500 crore based on ex-showroom prices. These figures were calculated as of January 14, 2026.

Bookings for the Mahindra XUV 7XO opened earlier this month with a token amount of ₹21,000, while reservations for the XEV 9S electric SUV were accepted alongside. The strong initial response covers both internal combustion and electric models in Mahindra's expanded SUV portfolio.

The Mahindra XUV 7XO continues with the same internal combustion engine options. The XUV 7XO is offered with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 203hp, and a 2.2-litre diesel engine rated at 185hp. Both engines are available with manual and automatic transmissions, depending on the variant.

The XUV 7XO replaces the outgoing XUV700 in Mahindra's line-up and is positioned as the firm's flagship ICE SUV and features an updated design, features and safety equipment. The XUV 7XO is equipped with a 540-degree camera system to enhance visibility, while ventilated seats are available for the first and second rows.

Climate and audio functions are operated via a touch-based control panel, and the infotainment experience is supported by a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos. Wireless charging is offered for added convenience, and the SUV features Level 2 ADAS calibrated for Indian driving conditions.

The XEV 9S is Mahindra's new three-row electric SUV, offered with multiple battery pack options. Battery capacities for the XEV 9S include 59kWh, 70kWh and 79kWh, with power outputs going up to 281bhp depending on configuration.

Prices for the Mahindra XEV 9S start at ₹19.95 lakh (ex-showroom), and it is positioned as a family-oriented 7-seater electric SUV aimed at long-distance usability and spacious cabin requirements. It offers 4,076 litres of cargo space across the front and second rows, along with a 527-litre boot and a class-leading 150-litre frunk, providing ample storage for different travel needs.

Delivery Timeline

Deliveries of the XUV 7XO began yesterday (January 14, 2026), with a phased rollout across dealerships. Deliveries of the XEV 9S are scheduled to commence during the week of January 26, 2026, according to the company.
