Mahindra XUV 7XO Launched From ₹13.66 Lakh - XUV700 Gets A New Face & Nameplate

Mahindra has launched the Mahindra XUV 7XO in India with prices starting at ₹13.66 lakh ex-showroom. The new Mahindra XUV 7XO replaces the XUV7OO as the firm's flagship ICE SUV.

The new Mahindra XUV 7XO is offered across three primary trims - AX3, AX5 and AX7 - with ex-showroom pricing ranging from ₹13.66 lakh for the base model up to ₹22.47 lakh for the top variant (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom).

Bookings for the Mahindra XUV 7XO are open for a token amount of ₹21,000, and deliveries across Mahindra's authorised dealer network are underway, with early consignments set to reach showrooms shortly after the launch today.

Under the hood, the Mahindra XUV 7XO carries forward the existing 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engines, both paired with options of a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, maintaining continuity with the outgoing XUV700's proven powertrain configurations. The Mahindra XUV 7XO also features the fim's new DAVINCI suspension setup with frequency selective damping.

Exterior changes to the Mahindra XUV 7XO include a redesigned grille, new LED headlamps and C-shaped LED DRLs, along with updated bumpers and wheel designs that give the XUV 7XO a sharper road presence compared with its predecessor while retaining the SUV's overall silhouette.

The interior is equipped with a triple-screen layout that integrates digital instrumentation a central infotainment display, and a passenger display, similar to the one on the recently launched XEV 9S. The cabin of the Mahindra XUV 7XO is further enhanced with premium elements, expanded connectivity and revised upholstery across variants and a 16-speaker Dolby-certified premium audio system.

The XUV 7XO gets a host of safety features, including a 540-degree camera system, Level-2 ADAS suite and multiple airbags, among other active and passive setups that keep the passengers inside safe. The Mahindra XUV 7XO has also earned a five-star safety rating in crash tests, reflecting strengthened structural integrity.

In a competitive seven-seater SUV segment that includes rivals such as the Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar and MG Hector, the Mahindra XUV 7XO aims to build on the success of the XUV700 with a refreshed nameplate, enhanced features and expanded technology that should hopefully help it add even more customers to the Mahindra family.
