Mahindra XUV 7XO: Launch Expectations & Key Highlights
Mahindra will launch the new XUV 7XO on January 5, 2026. This car is expected to feature an updated design, refreshed interiors, and enhanced convenience features. The new seven-seater SUV will more likely borrow several design elements and technology features from its electric sibling, the XEV 9S. Here's what we know so far.
Mahindra XUV 7XO Expected Features
Redesigned Exterior
The front and rear profiles will be completely refreshed. The design is expected to feature a new open grille, additional chrome elements, and redesigned LED headlamps and tail lamps. It is also likely to get sleek DRLs, new 19-inch alloy wheels, and revised bumpers.

Posh Interiors
The interiors will be entirely new and are expected to feature a triple-screen layout similar to the electric sibling. The inside will feel more upmarket, offering a premium experience comparable to luxury SUVs while retaining Mahindra's signature design language.
Upmarket Cabin
The cabin is anticipated to offer multiple interior themes and customisation options. The steering wheel will be a new flat-bottom unit with the updated Mahindra logo and integrated controls for added convenience. Additionally, the brand may introduce a dedicated front passenger display for entertainment.
Premium Technology
Technology and luxury will be key highlights of the new XUV 7XO. Expected features include Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Front Ventilated seats, a larger panoramic "Infinity" glass roof, and a VisionX head-up display (HUD). The SUV is also likely to offer Adrenox connected car technology, a Sonic Studio sound system tuned by A.R. Rahman, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos support. Dual-zone climate control and an air purifier, which are now considered essential features in India.

World-Class Safety
Mahindra is known for its world-class safety, and the XUV 7XO is expected to come equipped with advanced safety systems such as Level 2 ADAS, seven airbags, Secure 360-degree surveillance, and a Driver Occupant Monitoring System (DOMS). Other safety features are likely to include all-wheel disc brakes, ABS with EBD, ESC, TPMS, and an electronic parking brake with Auto Hold.
Price Expectations
With its premium features and positioning, the Mahindra XUV 7XO is expected to be priced from around 15 lakh (ex-showroom), with the top variant likely to be priced at approximately 25 lakh (ex-showroom). The seven-seater SUV will compete with rivals such as the Jeep Meridian, Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus, and Tata Safari.
