The Mahindra XUV 7XO has quickly made a strong impact in the Indian market, with deliveries crossing the 20,000-unit mark across the country. Positioned as a successor to the popular XUV700, the 7XO is witnessing robust demand since its launch in India back in January 2026.

Design and Powertrain
The 7XO benefits from its futuristic design elements inspired by its electric sibling, the XEV 9s. Replacing a benchmark product like the XUV700 was a challenge, but Mahindra has managed to set a benchmark with this new model.

Under the hood, the SUV offers multiple powertrain options. The 2.0L mStallion turbo-petrol engine delivers 149.2 kW and 380 Nm, while the 2.2L mHawk diesel engine produces 137 kW and 420 Nm. Buyers can choose between manual and automatic transmissions.

On the feature front, the XUV 7XO is packed with premium and advanced tech. Highlights include a panoramic infotainment display, sunroof, front and rear ventilated seats, Level 2 ADAS, Davinci suspension with Frequency selective damping controlled by Adrenox+ chassis control, Dolby Vision support, Boss Mode, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and a 540-degree camera.

Passenger comfort is also a key focus, with features like retractable rear sun blinds, multi-zone ambient lighting, wireless charging, premium leatherette interiors, Intelli control system, and a coast-to-coast screen layout.
Pricing and Rivals
The Mahindra XUV 7XO is priced from ₹13.66 lakh to ₹25.07 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in both 6- and 7-seater configurations. With its aggressive pricing and extensive feature list, the XUV 7XO takes on rivals such as the Jeep Meridian, Mahindra Scorpio-N, Maruti Suzuki Invicto, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Toyota Innova Hycross-while setting a new benchmark in the segment.
