Mahindra XEV 9S 6-Seat Option Launched At Rs 25.25 Lakh
Mahindra has launched the 6-seat option of the XEV 9S, with prices starting at Rs 25.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The captain seats replace the standard 3-seat bench in the second row, and the automaker says the layout is aimed at offering a superior experience.
The 6-seat configuration is offered across the Pack Two Above, Pack Three and Pack Three Above trims, while the entry-level Pack One Above continues with the 7-seat layout only. The most affordable 6-seat variant carries a Rs 25,000 premium over its 7-seat equivalent, while the remaining three variants are priced Rs 20,000 higher than their corresponding 7-seat versions.

Mahindra XEV 9S 6-seat prices
| Variant | Price (Rs, lakh)* |
|---|---|
| Pack Two Above 70kWh | 25.25 |
| Pack Two Above 79kWh | 26.15 |
| Pack Three 79kWh | 28.05 |
| Pack Three Above 79kWh | 30.15 |
*Ex-showroom Prices exclude the cost of the 11.2kW AC charger.
Each captain seat gets its own armrests, with the gap between the two seats creating a walk-through passage to the third row. Mahindra says this should make third-row access easier for families who use all three rows regularly. The rest of the cabin carries over unchanged, including the rear AC vents and dual 65W USB charging ports.

Mahindra XEV 9S battery and powertrain options
The 6-seat layout is available only with the XEV 9S' larger battery packs. The Pack Two Above variant gets a choice of 70kWh or 79kWh batteries, while the Pack Three and Pack Three Above variants come with the 79kWh pack alone.
