Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition Launched At ₹16.85 Lakh
Mahindra has launched the Thar Roxx Star Edition at a starting price of ₹16.85 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition is positioned as a design-focused derivative, adding exterior, interior and feature enhancements while retaining the existing mechanical configuration of the Thar Roxx lineup.

The Thar Roxx Star Edition is offered exclusively with a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) layout and is available with both petrol and diesel powertrains. Mahindra continues to offer the G20 TGDi mStallion petrol engine and the D22 mHawk diesel engine on this edition.
The petrol engine produces 130kW at 5000rpm and 380Nm of torque and is only offered with an automatic gearbox, while the diesel unit delivers 128.6kW at 3500rpm and 400Nm of torque and comes with both manual and automatic gearboxes options.
On the design front, the Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition receives several visual updates to differentiate it from the standard Roxx variants. Key exterior changes include a new piano black front grille and piano black-finished alloy wheels, both exclusive to the Star Edition.
The Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition is offered in a new Citrine Yellow exterior shade, which serves as the hero colour, alongside Tango Red, Everest White and Stealth Black.
The interior of the Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition is revised with a focus on darker, premium finishes. The cabin features all-black leatherette seats with suede accents, which are unique to this edition.
Additional comfort-focused features include front ventilated seats, a sliding armrest, 60:40 split rear seats with multipoint recline, fully automatic temperature control, and electric folding ORVMs. Steering-mounted controls, cruise control and tyre direction monitoring are also part of the equipment list.
The Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition is equipped with a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch HD digital instrument cluster. The Thar Roxx Star Edition supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, both wired and wireless.
Connected features are handled through Adrenox with Alexa built-in, offering access to 83 connected car functions. A surround-view camera system and a 9-speaker Harman Kardon audio system are also included.
Safety equipment on the Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition includes six airbags covering front, side and curtain protection, tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, auto-dimming IRVM, impact-sensing auto door unlock, immobiliser, and E-call and SOS functionality.
The Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition continues to be underpinned by the M_Glyde body-on-frame platform and retains off-road hardware such as selectable terrain modes (Snow, Sand and Mud), brake locking differential, and Gen II Adventure Statistics.
