Mahindra Scorpio N Pickup Teased Ahead Of August 14 Debut
Mahindra has released a new teaser for the Scorpio N pickup ahead of its global debut on August 14, offering the clearest look yet at the production-spec truck. The pickup is the production version of the 2023 Global Pik Up concept.
The teaser for the new Mahindra Scorpio N pickup truck, captioned "Born For A Bigger World," comes a day after Mahindra teased the BE 6 Sporteq, pointing to a twin reveal at the brand's Independence Day event.
The teaser shows a pickup truck with a double-cab layout, though Mahindra is expected to offer a single-cab variant of the Scorpio N pickup for commercial buyers as well. The front gets a new identity built around a large upright grille with the brand's Twin Peaks logo, slim LED headlamps and LED daytime running lights, clearly differentiating it from the recently updated Scorpio N SUV.
At the rear, the Mahindra Scorpio N Pickup gets vertically stacked LED tail lamps with Mahindra lettering spanning the width of the tailgate. New alloy wheel designs are also visible, while the side profile retains the muscular proportions expected of a global lifestyle pickup, with a cargo bed positioned behind the cabin.
Inside, the teaser for the Mahindra Scorpio N Pickup confirms a panoramic sunroof, a first for a Mahindra pickup, along with a dashboard layout borrowed from the updated Scorpio N. This includes a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster and a multifunction steering wheel. A 360-degree camera system is also visible in the clip.
Based on the Scorpio N facelift, the Scorpio N pickup is also expected to get Level 2 ADAS, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, ventilated seats, powered front seats and driver drowsiness detection.
Mahindra has not revealed technical specifications yet, though the Scorpio N pickup is likely to share its mechanical package with the Scorpio N SUV. The 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine is expected to be the primary option, paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox. The 4XPLOR four-wheel-drive system is tipped for higher variants.
The Mahindra Scorpio N Pickup pickup is expected to target both domestic and international markets, taking on established midsize pickup trucks. Once launched, it will become Mahindra's flagship global pickup and add to the company's expanding utility vehicle portfolio.
