Mahindra SUV Sales Cross 58,000 Units In May 2026 - Total Volumes Rise 20%
Mahindra & Mahindra recorded domestic SUV sales of 58,021 units in May 2026, registering 11 per cent year-on-year growth. Mahindra's total vehicle sales for the month of May 2026, including exports, stood at 99,636 units, up 20 per cent compared to the same month last year.
Total utility vehicle sales for Mahindra, including exports, reached 59,573 units during the month. Mahindra's total export volumes last month stood at 5,000 units, marking a 37 per cent increase over May 2025.

Mahindra SUV Sales
Domestic utility vehicle sales increased from 52,431 units in May 2025 to 58,021 units in May 2026. Including exports,-Mahindra's SUV sales volumes rose to 59,573 units in May 2025. Passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market stood at 58,021 units. Mahindra's utility vehicle portfolio continues to account for the entirety of its passenger vehicle volumes.
Mahindra's SUV line-up currently includes the Scorpio-N, Scorpio Classic, Thar, Thar Roxx, XUV700, XUV 3XO, Bolero range and its latest electric SUVs. These SUV models continue to drive up utility vehicle sales across domestic and export markets.
Mahindra Commercial Vehicle Performance
Domestic commercial vehicle sales stood at 24,079 units in May 2026, marking a 19 per cent growth year-on-year. Growth was recorded across several light commercial vehicle categories - LCVs below two tonnes recorded sales of 3,490 units, up 35 per cent.
The 2-3.5 tonne segment contributed 20,589 units, representing 16 per cent growth over May 2025. Medium and heavy commercial vehicle sales for Mahindra stood at 1,678 units during the month of May 2026. Three-wheeler sales increased to 12,536 units in May 2026 from the 6,635 units recorded a year earlier. The segment registered an 89 per cent year-on-year increase.
Exports rose to 5,000 units from 3,651 units in May 2025. Overseas shipments contributed across utility vehicles, commercial vehicles and three-wheelers.
