Mahindra's Upcoming Mega Manufacturing Hub

The facility will be developed across approximately 1,500 acres in the Vidarbha region. Once fully operational, the plant is expected to have an annual production capacity of over 5 lakh passenger vehicles and around 1 lakh tractors, making it Mahindra's largest integrated manufacturing unit. The expansion will also help meet rising domestic demand while strengthening export capabilities.

Mahindra selected the region primarily for its strong road and rail connectivity, which enables efficient access to both domestic and international markets. Vidarbha is also emerging as an industrial hub with a growing supplier ecosystem and skilled workforce.

Additionally, the new plant is expected to supply components to Mahindra's existing manufacturing facilities in Chakan and Nashik. Beyond passenger vehicles, Mahindra also maintains a strong presence in the commercial and agricultural vehicle segments, with its tractors enjoying significant popularity in India as well as several global markets.

Looking ahead, the company plans to acquire around 2,000 acres of land in Maharashtra over the next decade, further supporting its long-term manufacturing plans. This move is likely to strengthen Mahindra's production readiness for future mobility trends, export growth, and increasing demand across multiple vehicle segments.
