Kia Syros EV India Debut Confirmed for July - Second Locally Made Kia EV
The Kia Syros EV will officially debut in July 2026. The automaker has confirmed this in its 2026 investor presentation, and this will be Kia's second locally produced EV, taking its pure electric lineup to four for the Indian market.
For Indian buyers, the Syros EV is significant because it is expected to become Kia's most affordable electric vehicle in the country. The Syros EV is expected to be priced between Rs 14 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom), and it is expected to rival the likes of the Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV 3XO EV.

Kia Syros EV: Design & Features - A Familiar Experience
The Kia Syros EV has been spied doing the rounds a couple of times, and as expected, it will look very much like the ICE Syros, save for the grille and most probably the wheels.
Based on the spy shots, the overall design will remain similar to the ICE version. However, it will get EV-specific updates like a closed grille and possibly new alloy wheels to give it a distinct identity.
Other possible design elements on the Kia Syros EV include port-mounted indicators showing charging progress, active air vents for battery cooling, and prominent EV badging.
The Syros is already feature-loaded and spacious inside for its class, and we expect the EV to follow in sync with regard to both these factors. In terms of features, the Syros EV is expected to maintain the same list as the ICE version, featuring a dual-camera dashcam, triple-screen setup on the dash, ventilated seats, an 8-speaker Harman Kardon audio system and a panoramic sunroof. ADAS and a 360-degree camera are also expected.
Kia Syros EV: Underpinnings & Features
The Kia Syros EV is expected to be built on the K1 platform, which it shares with the Hyundai Inster EV sold internationally. However, the Syros EV is expected to share quite a few of its parts with other made-in-India EVs from Hyundai and Kia. This shared part approach will allow Kia to streamline production and manage costs, a critical factor in positioning the Syros EV competitively.
We expect it to be offered with both the 42kWh and 51.4kWh battery packs found in the Creta Electric. The former offers a range of 390km, while the latter gets 473km. The battery packs are expected to have a charging time of 58 minutes for a 10-80 per cent fast charge. The Syros is also likely to have Vehicle to Load (V2L) support.
