Kia India Sales Rise Up By 27% YoY In July 2026 To 28,200 Units

South Korean carmaker Kia dispatched 28,200 new vehicles last year, its sales rising by 27.4% year-on-year from the 22,135 units sold in July 2025. This figure marks the company's highest-ever July performance since it entered the Indian market in 2019.

Kia's sales rose by 14.86% month-over-month compared to June 2026, when the Korean firm sold 24,552 units. Kia's cumulative wholesale volumes for the January-July 2026 period stand at 1,91,949 units, a 16.85% increase over the 1,64,274 units dispatched during the same period last year.

Seltos And Sonet Continue To Lead Kia's India Sales

The Seltos and Sonet SUVs remain Kia's largest volume contributors, the company said. The Carens Clavis and Carens Clavis EV also saw steady demand within the MPV segment through July.

The recently launched Syros EV has also received an encouraging early response, aiding Kia's push into the mass-market electric SUV space. The electric SUV is Kia's second Made-in-India mass-market EV and offers an ARAI-certified range of over 500 km on a single charge, along with DC fast charging and Level 2 ADAS.

Kia has expanded its lineup steadily over the past 12 months, adding the Carens Clavis, Carens Clavis EV and the Syros EV. These launches have widened the Korean brand's presence across ICE and EV segments while pulling in buyers across multiple price brackets.

The Sorento Hybrid is next on Kia's India roadmap and is set to launch ahead of the festive season. The company also plans to introduce new powertrain options across its existing model range.

Aiding Kia's ever increasing growth in India is the fact that its retail network has grown to more than 900 customer touchpoints spanning over 400 cities. This network is further supported by an expanding certified pre-owned business. This wider footprint, combined with a broader product portfolio, is expected to help Kia sustain its current sales momentum ahead of what promises to be a blockbuster festive season.
