Kia India Opens 500th Workshop - Expands Service Network Across 391 Cities

Kia India has achieved a major milestone by inaugurating its 500th service workshop in India, located at Chandkheda in Ahmedabad. This milestone highlights Kia's growing focus on strengthening its after-sales network and enhancing customer experience across the country.

With this expansion, Kia now operates 800 service touchpoints across 391 cities, serving over 1.5 million customers. The milestone reflects the brand's commitment to providing a seamless, transparent, and convenient ownership experience.

One of The Largest Workshops in India

The newly opened facility in Ahmedabad is one of Kia's largest workshops in the country. Spread across 76,069 sq. ft., the facility is designed to handle high service volumes efficiently.

It features 57 service bays, including dedicated washing and mopping areas, along with 100 parking bays to ensure smooth vehicle movement. With a workforce of 90 trained professionals, the workshop can service up to 40,000 vehicles annually, significantly improving service accessibility in the region.

Premium Experience

Kia has equipped the facility with several premium and future-ready features. A dedicated 'Shine Zone' offers advanced exterior care services such as ceramic coating, while the workshop also includes a 90 kW DC fast charger capable of charging two vehicles simultaneously. These additions highlight Kia's focus on both conventional and electric vehicle customers, as the brand prepares for a more EV-focused future.

Digital Driven Service

The company continues to enhance the ownership experience through a digital service platform. Kia offers a contactless and paperless service process, supported by RFID-enabled tracking, digital vehicle health reports, and real-time updates.

Customers can also use platforms like Kia Krystal and the My Kia app to monitor service progress remotely. Additional ownership programs such as extended warranty, roadside assistance (RSA), and doorstep accessory delivery further improve customer convenience.

Strong Sustainability

Sustainability remains a key focus for Kia India. The newly inaugurated workshop has been developed as a green facility, featuring 145 kW solar power generation, rainwater harvesting systems, and advanced water recycling processes. Currently, Kia operates 124 green workshops across India, generating 8.90 MW of solar energy, showing its commitment to responsible growth.

With the opening of its 500th workshop, Kia India continues to strengthen its after-sales infrastructure while preparing for future mobility trends. The company plans to expand its network, integrate advanced technologies, and build a more connected and EV-ready ecosystem.
