Jeep Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition Launched At Rs 36.05 lakh

American SUV specialist Jeep has launched the Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition in India. Priced at Rs 36.05 lakh (ex-showroom), the Jeep Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition marks 85 years of the Jeep brand.

The Jeep Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition is based on the range-topping Overland trim and will be limited to just 85 units. Bookings are open now at dealerships and on Jeep India's website.

Jeep Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition: Design And Cabin Updates

The Jeep Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition sports anniversary decals on its front doors and tailgate along with a new logo on the wheel centre caps. The Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition is offered in five exterior colourways: Pearl White, Techno Metallic Green, Velvet Red, Grigio Magnesio and Brilliant Black, all of which are paired with gloss-black wheels.

Step inside the Jeep Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition and there's a gold accent across the dashboard, plus a new ambient lighting package. Jeep is also offering curated 85th Anniversary AXS accessory packs, covering carpet floor mats, anniversary decal kits, ambient lighting and an illumination kit for the panoramic sunroof.

The bigger addition to the Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition comes in the form of CARA, the AI voice assistant of Jeep's parent company Stellantis that first debuted in India on the Citroen Basalt.
CARA handles navigation, weather updates, calls, music and a handful of vehicle functions, and understands 52 languages including several Indian ones. Jeep has added CARA to the regular Limited (O) trim of the Meridian too, which now costs Rs 30.45 lakh, a hike of Rs 45,000.

Nothing changes under the bonnet for the Jeep Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition . The limited-run SUV still sports the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel still making 170hp and 350Nm. The engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic that sends power to all four wheels, again unchanged from the Overland it's based on.

Jeep is charging a Rs 44,000 premium over the standard Overland for the anniversary treatment. With only 85 examples earmarked for India, Jeep Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition won't stay available for long.
