Jeep Compass Sport Diesel Automatic Launched At Rs 21.99 Lakh

American SUV specialist Jeep has launched the Compass Sport diesel automatic in India at Rs 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This the first time that the 9-speed automatic gearbox has reached the entry-level Sport trim of the Jeep Compass.

That makes the Jeep Compass Sport diesel automatic the most affordable version of the Compass with an automatic gearbox currently on sale in the country. Deliveries of the new Jeep Compass Sport diesel automatic will begin from the second week of November across Jeep dealerships and Stellantis Brand Houses.

Jeep Compass Sport Diesel Automatic - Engine & Gearbox

Power for the Jeep Compass Sport comes from the familiar 2.0-litre MultiJet II turbo-diesel engine, which makes 170hp and 350Nm of peak torque. The engine sends power to the front wheels through a 9-speed automatic torque converter gearbox.

Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) suspension and Dynamic Steering Torque (DST) carry over to the Compass Sport automatic. The rest of the Compass range continues to be offered with a choice of manual and automatic gearboxes, along with 2WD and 4WD options.

Jeep Compass Sport Diesel Automatic - Exterior, Interior and Features

The Jeep Compass Sport Diesel Automatic rides on 17-inch silver-finished alloy wheels and gets LED headlamps with DRLs, chrome window surrounds, a rear spoiler and a shark-fin antenna. The black ORVM housings have integrated turn indicators.

Inside, the cabin has a dark theme with grey fabric inserts on the dashboard and door pads. The fabric seats come with blue stitching. An 8.4-inch (21.3cm) Uconnect touchscreen supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and it works with a four-speaker sound system. A 3.5-inch digital instrument cluster, steering-mounted controls and electrically adjustable ORVMs are also fitted to the Compass Sport.

The Jeep Compass Sport diesel automatic gets six airbags, auto hold and cruise control. Electronic stability control, traction control, hill-start assist, ISOFIX anchors, tyre pressure monitoring, an electronic parking brake and a reversing camera with rear parking sensors.

An optional accessory worth Rs 29,900 adds ambient lighting, a dashcam with predictive safety features, a Swoosh decal on the rear pillars and shoulder line, all-weather floor mats and mud flaps.
